Update!, A decent Twist out?

So it's been quite some time since the last time I blogged. Life has been pretty hectic and today is my day off so ahhhhh what better time to write about hair?. So last week, I sat down in the middle of watching my beloved Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and began twisting my hair. I've been having problems with shed hairs and my hair shedding. Dead hair is having a hard time making it's way down my hair and gets stuck in the middle and tangles around my other hair, which is super annoying. So to get rid of the problem I obsessively run my fingers through my hair removing it and before I knew it I was twisting my hair into two strand twists. the twist were quite small and I did it on dry hair. I also trimmed my ends after I twisted and then put Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade on my ends

This is after I'm done twisting. I then put my hair in two pigtails and then left them in overnight

Decent right? lol. It's not perfect but considering I can't do anything to my hair right I was happy.
I realized why Twist outs never worked before on me. I would do them on my hair and wet my hair, so basically my hair would be wet and shrink up overnight. They never turned out right. So doing it on dry hair and only damp on the ends so they'd curl really helped give me length.

So after that first night and liking my results, two days later I re twisted my hair this time. At 12:30am and through and episode of Hawthorne and The Tudors it took me two hours to finish. I twisted really small two strand twist outs with damp ends  all over my head. Using Oyin Whipped Pudding on my ends and middle of my hair. Avoiding putting it on my scalp because I already need to wash my hair I don't need more buildup.

So here are the results.

I slapped a flower in to take bootleg wannabe ANTM pics in my bathroom. This last pic is just half up half down. So all  I have to say is, I really like the results which is something that is rare when it comes to the hair growing out of my confused head. Twisting really small twists on dry hair and using a heavy cream for moisturizing is now something I need to master lol.

My hair for the last two weeks has basically been natural. Since it's winter and thank goodness the snow is melting today I have been wearing a hat every time I go out only wearing my bangs straight and leaving the rest curly. I washed and deep conditioned my hair about two weeks ago, So I'm due for a washing which I will do as soon as I am done typing.
Anyway I guess that is all for now, my hair is a disaster right now and needs some care. So until next time.
