Wanting to go back to Relaxed?

Being a natural girl, I have those days just like any of girl with natural hair especially those who were relaxed for a long time and recently went natural, where you just think to yourself " What If I relax my hair?". Honestly straight hair is everywhere. I do see natural haired women on TV commercials or in magazines or even in music videos but it's almost always never as much as those with straight hair.

Just a few days ago I was flat ironing and my hair was driving me crazy. I felt like it just would not straighten right. After having great results with the Chase method a few days before I expected to get those results but it didn't happen. My hair was still better than it was before but my ends still seemed to be puffy. You can say it was frustrating. Afterwards I go and read my Allure issue for the month and I see model Emanuela de paula with her gorgeous straight hair and then it seemed through out the day Black women with gorgeous flowing locks of straight hair were all in my face constantly. Zoe Saldana, Sanaa Lathan in Something New, Tyra Banks. I started looking at my own hair, my puffy ends getting irritated and thinking how if I had a relaxer my ends would always be straight and how straight my hair would be since I've become so "good" at flat ironing I wouldn't have a problem. All I wanted in that moment was straight hair. I didn't think about it much as the day went on, until night when I visited natural hair blog MopTopMaven.com and I cam across these pictures from a site calles F*ck Yeah Curls Curls Curls. Seeing all these ladies and gents with beautiful free flowing heads of big curly,kinky and coily hair had me going crazy. It instantly reminded me of why I could never go back to a relaxer. So I say in your moments of natural weakness the best thing you can do is look at pictures of fellow naturals to give you inspiration, it always work for me. I snapped out of the relaxing thoughts right away and had the nerve to go wash  my curls back into my head...but that would  have been a waste of straightening so NEXT TIME!! lol.
